VIRTUAL DISTRICTS

DISTRICTS IN THE VIRTUAL AREA

The AA Aus Virtual Area is possibly the first of its kind, in the world. As such, there is no manual or guide to follow on how it should operate.  

Traditionally, Groups are supported by Districts, which are supported by Area. Currently, there are no virtual Districts between the AA Aus Virtual Area and Groups, however virtual Districts may be formed in due course as membership grows. AA Aus Virtual Area encourages the formation of virtual districts.

An AA District is a unit within an Area containing a number of AA Groups, the number being dependent on the ability of the General Service Representatives (GSRs) to communicate between each other and to meet regularly together with comparative ease. 

A District may contain 15-20 Groups, or as few as 3 or 4 Groups.
